Single Stage Fabricated Centrifugal Blowers
Spencer single stage scroll blowers and RB pressure blowers provide dependable air or gas movement at a wide range of selected pressures and volumes. They offer stable performance from minimum rated flow without surge or pulsations and a maximum vibration tolerance of 1.5 mils total amplitude at the bearing housing. Power consumption is proportional to the volume output; system volume adjustments can be easily made by throttling with an optional inlet or outlet damper.
These blowers are widely used for in-plant industrial, commercial and municipal applications and in OEM equipment for compost and wastewater aeration, temperature control, combustion air delivery, ventilation, materials handling, air curtains and drying. To allow quick selection of the best blower for a specific volume/pressure requirement, there are 45 standard models, 20 impeller diameters and seven outlet sizes within scroll blowers alone.
Depending on the model selected, there are a number of standard or optional choices for drive arrangements, materials of construction, motor types, sealing methods and discharge positions. The most prevalent drive configuration is Direct Drive Arrangement #4 with the impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft. Also available are Direct Drive Arrangement #8 with separate impeller and motor shafts, and Belt Drive Arrangement #9 for blower operation at an established speed or volume.
Spencer scroll blowers stand on furnished cork pads; RB pressure blowers stand on a structural steel channel. No special foundation, bolts or grout are required. Maximum airflow volume is 50,000 ICFM, maximum pressure 3.5 PSIG.
Spencer single stage scroll blowers and RB pressure blowers move oil-free, non-pulsating air at varying volumes with uniform pressure throughout the operating range of each model. The power consumption is proportional to the volume output. System volume adjustments can be made by throttling with a butterfly valve or blast gate. Typical uses are aeration, combustion air delivery, ventilation, materials handling, air curtains and drying.
