Spencer single stage scroll blowers have performance ratings of 50–10,000 SCFM volume; 0–60" H20 pressure; 0–52" H20 vacuum. They offer stable performance from minimum rated flow without surge or pulsations and a maximum vibration tolerance of 1.5 mils total amplitude. Each radial bladed aluminum impeller is statically and dynamically balanced prior to shipment.

These blowers are suited for in-plant industrial, commercial and municipal applications and in OEM equipment for compost and wastewater aeration, temperature control, combustion air delivery, ventilation, materials handling, air curtains and drying. To allow quick selection of the best scroll blower for a specific volume/pressure requirement, there are 45 standard models, 20 impeller diameters and seven outlet sizes. Each outlet is flanged with standard ANSI B16.5 125#/150# drilling to simplify blower installation and connection. System volume adjustments can be easily made by throttling with an optional inlet or outlet damper.

There are a number of standard or optional choices for drive arrangements, materials of construction, motor types, sealing methods and discharge positions. The most prevalent drive configuration is Direct Drive Arrangement #4 with the impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft. Also available are Direct Drive Arrangement #8 with separate impeller and motor shafts, and Belt Drive Arrangement #9 for blower operation at an established speed or volume.

Spencer scroll blowers are designed to stand free on furnished cork pads; no special foundation, bolts or grout are required.

RBs

Spencer RB heavy-duty pressure blowers provide dependable air or gas movement at pressures up to 3.5 PSIG and volumes up to 50,000 SCFM. These robust machines offer stable performance from minimum rated flow without surge or pulsations. These blowers are often used for in-plant service in chemical/petrochemical, iron/steel, pulp/paper, plastic/glass and coal/foundry industries.

Each outlet is flanged with standard ANSI B16.5 125#/150# drilling to simplify blower installation and connection. System volume adjustments can be easily made by throttling with an optional inlet or outlet damper. A bolted inlet plate provides easy access to the radial bladed impeller for removal.

There are a number of standard or optional choices for drive arrangements, motor types, sealing methods and discharge positions. The most prevalent drive configuration is Direct Drive Arrangement #4 with the impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft. Also available are Direct Drive Arrangement #8 with separate impeller and motor shafts, and Belt Drive Arrangement #9 for blower operation at an established speed or volume. Alternate materials of construction include stainless steel and other metals with specific resistance to corrosion, abrasion, spark generation, etc. A high temperature construction with heat slinger is rated for operation up to 600°F.

Spencer RB pressure blowers stand on a heavy-duty structural steel channel to minimize vibration. No cork pads, special foundation, bolts or grout are required.
