Standard Designs

Over 60 years ago, Spencer developed a self-contained, integrated vacuum system consisting of a multistage centrifugal vacuum producer matched with a tubular bag separator. Both units were mounted and interconnected on a common frame. Over the years, the product line has been improved, modified and expanded. Today, we proudly offer the Spencer Industravac® product line.

Spencer standard, self-contained vacuum cleaning systems start with the FastVac® and Industravac® V models which are both powered by Vortex regenerative vacuum producers. They are equipped with quick-release dirt cans and rated for one or two simultaneous users each. An optional HEPA filter is available for each.

The FastVac series features a high-efficiency, two-stage cartridge separator. Industravac Series V has tubular filter bag separation with 10 inverted filter bags and manual bag shaker. The mobile models of both series can carry a range of optional vacuum tools, vacuum hose and cleaning accessories.

These self-contained systems present cost-effective alternatives to custom-engineered central systems, offering the benefits of pre-engineered, highly integrated designs. Within the standard line, there are varying features such as filter bag or filter cartridge separators and multistage or regenerative vacuum producers. Options include filter media choices, silencers, blast gates and various gauges.

Stationary self-contained vacuums can be dedicated to a single function such as dust or chip collection alongside a metalworking or woodworking machine, or connected to metallic tubing lines in a central vacuum cleaning system.

Mobile units can be moved around a facility for on-location vacuum cleaning and spill removal. Or, a very large facility may be divided into several zones, each with its own vacuum tubing network. One mobile Industravac unit is moved from zone to zone and connected, either on a regular basis or as needed. This idea also works for a facility that has an isolated building or remote area that needs periodic cleaning. This approach avoids the expense and friction loss of a single, giant central vacuum system serving all areas at once.
