Dirt, dust, powders, chips, liquids, and other debris are the enemies of many industrial and commercial settings. From clearing dust and metal shavings from a shop floor filled with lathes and other tools to maintain the cleanliness of a fleet of rental vehicles, industrial vacuum systems are essential to keeping various spaces and equipment clean, healthy and safe.
To understand the importance of having a quality institutional vacuum system in place, just review the most recent standards from OSHA that set out strict exposure limits for workers in proximity to respirable crystalline silica. One of the most critical recommendations from OSHA is for employers to implement dust collection systems — preferably with HEPA-filtered commercial vacuum systems.
When considering any industrial, commercial or municipal vacuum system, you have to make many decisions — from where best to place the vacuum producer to what types of materials will be vacuumed. If you want clear advice and quality equipment designed to meet your requirements fully, the Spencer Turbine Company is your one-stop shop for all of your industrial vacuuming needs.
Since introducing our first vacuum system in 1905, we’ve been engineering high-efficiency industrial vacuum systems and components for all types of cleaning jobs.
Central Vacuum Systems
Custom designed for each facility they operate in, central vacuum systems distribute vacuum power throughout buildings of any size, from local carwashes to multi-acre industrial sites.
These systems provide intense cleaning power. In addition to standard dirt and dust removal, they’re also used in liquid spill pickup, fume removal, hazardous waste pickup, recyclable goods collection, bulk material conveying and vacuum hold-down or pickup.
Each of these vacuum systems comes with a centrally located vacuum producer and dirt separator or material collector, which is then connected to a vacuum tubing network.
As an alternative to more costly custom-engineered cleaning systems, self-contained Industravac® and FastVac® vacuum units integrate all of the elements of a central vacuum cleaning system — vacuum producer, separator, filter, and dirt can — onto a compact steel frame.
However, do not let the name fool you. Self-contained vacuum models are highly versatile. They can be used by anywhere from one to 15 operators for intensive cleaning, as central systems with a vacuum tubing network or for machine-side scrap removal and dust collection. Plus, our mobile vacuum models provide you with roving convenience for powerful on-location vacuum cleaning.
Car Care Vacuums
We offer central vacuum systems and accessories designed specifically for the special needs of car washes, auto body shops, car rental agencies, auto auctions, and public transport maintenance yards — to name just a few.
With a wide selection of accessories to choose from, we can customize our equipment to accomplish almost any cleaning task. Examples include grounded vacuums for use on gasoline islands, car cleaning systems with lockable dirt cans to thwart coin pilfering, liquid separators that collect shampoo residues, and even pre-separators capable of intercepting abrasive gravel.
Typically, our standard vacuum systems can accommodate one to eight operators simultaneously, while our custom car vacuum systems can be designed to meet the needs of any operation.
Vacuum System Separators
Our vacuum system collectors and separators are available in a wide variety of types and sizes. Plus, we can customize our separators to suit specific application conditions, including your specific recovery and/or disposal needs.
We offer standard and high-efficiency cyclone centrifugal separators, stationary and mobile liquid separators and even special units for flammables and other sensitive materials. Also, our separators can be equipped with filter bags, cartridge filters or jet-pulse. Filter cleaning can be accomplished manually or automatically according to your preference.
